LIFE'S A BEACH
A beautiful day, beautiful people and beautiful sound!?! It doesn't get much better than that. TCS Audio rocked the shore line of Southern California with its official debut at the Fusion-Philips event at Huntington Beach Pier August 1 and 2. The event was held simultaneously with the U.S. Open of Surfing making it America's original and largest ocean-front sports festival. Sound was run on the Philips stage by B.I.G. Productions where internationally
acclaimed acts L.I.T. and Hoobastank performed to 20,000+ people each evening. While the stage was made without the requested sound wings the TCS cabinets went straight into the sand getting down and dirty right out of the gates.

In November of 2002, TCS Audio engineers installed the very first systems at the main performance stage inside Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. Installation was completed just in time for the Stanley Clarke all-star concert which featured a host of guests including, Flea, Stevie Wonder, Billy Sheehan and a who's who in bass players. The show has been repeatedly televised on BET. Allan Holdsworth also performed at the MI stage in December to a packed house. The system was a major upgrade from what had been used in prior years. MI's Engineer, simply known as "Fedge", has a 20 year career as a FOH and monitor engineer. Aretha Franklin is among his touring credits. Fedge has worked with every other product on the market and was pleasantly surprised when he put the TCS Audio system to the test. Fedge cited "I'd put these up against any cabinet out there ".
A second TCS system was installed at the "Hollywood Passage". The school now features a live public venue adjacent to the "Green Room" cafe and" Hollywood Passage" –the main entrance to MI from Hollywood Blvd. Weekend concerts are held for both student and public enjoyment with the courtyard wall that rolls up and exposes the venue to Hollywood Blvd.
B.I.G. Productions
B.I.G. Productions has done sound, stage and lighting for an impressive list of clients that includes: Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Sony Pictures, Woodstock '99, ESPN, Epic Records, MCA Records, Polygram Records, Capitol Records, Virgin Records, Warner Bros Records... Owner Rich Bartle obtained a TCS system 2 months ago and has been busy with it ever since. Among the notable shows are the Philips Fusion TV U.S. Open Surfing Competition held the first week of August in Huntington Beach, CA. The event included a live concert each day with artists including Lit and Hoobastank. The stage Philips provided didn't allow for FOH cabinets to be flown as intended, so Bartle's crew stacked the TCS system on the sand! The sound of the surf and the wind didn't impact the shows as feared. The TCS beach debut even made the cover of FOH Magazine.
